No one can swallow AIADMK: Edappadi Palaniswami’s reply to Chief Minister
Tamil Nadu: AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami said that no one can swallow the party.
Speaking at the ‘Let’s Save the People and Save Tamil Nadu’ election campaign in Perundurai, Erode district, on Sunday, Edappadi K. Palaniswami said: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is saying that the BJP will swallow the AIADMK. He is also saying that whatever happened to Nitish Kumar in Bihar will happen to me. No one can swallow or destroy the AIADMK. A man expelled from the AIADMK has joined the DMK. He says that he did not receive proper respect in the AIADMK. He wanted to defeat the AIADMK by joining the DMK. He fell for it. Jayalalithaa offered him the post of Chief Minister. He forgot that the AIADMK was the movement that made him Chief Minister. It has taken refuge in the DMK, the evil force that wanted to eliminate MGR.
Law and order has deteriorated in Tamil Nadu. There’s no place where marijuana isn’t sold. Not a day goes by without murder, robbery, and extortion. Should such a regime continue?
Perundurai is a region full of farmers. I met the 50-year demand of the people of this region and brought the Athikadavu Avinashi Project under the AIADMK. 85% of the work was completed under the AIADMK. When the DMK came to power, they stopped the project. Work progressed at a snail’s pace. They finally reopened it after three years with a sticker. However, many lakes are missing. The ponds and lakes that remained empty under the AIADMK will be filled. Under the AIADMK, we provided 24-hour three-phase electricity. Today, they are providing it in shifts. If the AIADMK forms the government, three-phase electricity will be provided again.
They say that the AIADMK is a slave to the BJP. The DMK is a slave to the Congress. Because of the 2011 “red” elections, the DMK became a slave and formed an alliance with the Congress.
Under the DMK rule, many parties are fighting every day. Tamil Nadu has become a battlefield. Election promises have not been fulfilled. That’s why they are fighting. The DMK is a party that came to power by deceiving the people and winning their votes.
The DMK made 525 promises. Not even a quarter of them have been fulfilled. The DMK government has betrayed everyone.
We provided a subsidy of ₹25,000 to women under the two-wheeler scheme. The DMK government has discontinued it. If the AIADMK forms the government, 500,000 women will receive two-wheeler subsidies.
₹1,000 will be given on Pongal and a silk saree on Diwali. Senior citizens will receive ₹2,000, and graduates registered for employment will receive ₹1,000. He said ₹2,000 will be provided monthly until they find a job, and those who have passed the 12th grade will receive ₹1,000 per month. A family will receive ₹10,000 as a subsidy and three gas cylinders per year.
The meeting was chaired by Erode Suburban East District Secretary K.C. Karuppannan. Perundurai Assembly Member S. Jayakumar presided over the meeting.
It was attended by AIADMK and alliance party officials, including Perundurai constituency union secretary Aruljothi Selvaraj, Ranjitraj, Vijayan, Ramasamy, Ravichandran, city secretary Kalyanasundaram, Palaniswami, Sivasubramanian, Bhupalakrishnan, union deputy secretary Anbarasu, district youth secretary Arunachalam, district youth joint secretary Sivanathan.
When Edappadi Palaniswami was campaigning in the Perundurai area, a stage was set up to remind people of AIADMK’s election promises, which included gas cylinders, two-wheelers, and autos.
