Jalandhar: A man arrested with banned pills.

Jalandhar: Police have arrested a man with banned tablets. Talwara SHO Satpal Singh said that ASI Om Prakash, along with his police party, was patrolling the road leading towards Terrace Road and checking suspicious persons. A little ahead of the gas godown, a man was seen approaching, who, upon seeing the police party, turned and ran back, throwing a white envelope into the nearby bushes.
The man was apprehended. He was identified as Rajpal alias Gajjan, a resident of Joda Phatak village in Amritsar district. He was currently residing in the slums on Terrace Road in Talwara. Police recovered 132 tablets from the envelope. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act.
