NTA clarifies position on NEET exam rumors; exam to be held as scheduled.
Tamil Nadu Tamil Nadu: National Testing Agency has clarified the situation on the rumors spreading on social media regarding NEET re-examination. The agency has clearly stated that the examination will be conducted as per its schedule on June 21 and the news of postponing or extending it is completely wrong and misleading. Students and parents have been appealed to rely only on official information.
According to the information, the NEET 2026 exam held last year was canceled after complaints of question paper leak in the Junior NEET exam were received on May 3. After this incident, it was announced by the National Testing Agency that the examination would be conducted again and the date for it was fixed as June 21. Since then, lakhs of candidates across the country are busy preparing for this re-examination.
Meanwhile, the claim started spreading rapidly on social media platforms that the NEET re-examination to be held on June 21 has been postponed. Due to this rumor, confusion arose among the students and many candidates got confused about their preparation. At some places, discussions also started that a new date of examination could be announced, due to which the morale of the students was being affected.
In view of these rumours, the National Testing Agency (NTA) immediately issued an official statement clarifying the situation. The agency said that no changes have been made regarding the examination and it will be held on June 21 as per its schedule. NTA said in its statement that the candidates have worked hard for a long time and now they should have confidence in their preparation.
The agency also said that students should stay away from misleading information spread on social media. Only information obtained from official websites and reliable sources should be considered correct. The statement also said that all preparations for the examination have been completed and all necessary steps have been taken to conduct the examination process in a smooth and transparent manner.
NTA appealed to the students to ignore the rumors and concentrate fully on their studies. Misinformation can increase mental pressure before the exam, so only official updates should be trusted. The agency also reiterated that the exam schedule is already fixed and no changes have been made in it.
After this whole matter, it has now become clear that the re-examination of NEET will be held on June 21 only and all the reports of postponing it are completely wrong.
