Nurpur Police Station ranks first in the use of Interoperable Criminal Justice System
The Nurpur police district has ranked first in the state for the use of the Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) and second in the state for its best management of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS). The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) at the state police headquarters on Wednesday released the ICJS and CCTNS rankings for the state’s top 20 police stations and 15 police districts for the first quarter of the year (January to March).
Nurpur police station topped the state’s 20 police stations in the use of ICJS and rapid digital investigation. Notably, six of the 20 police stations in the Nurpur police district (Nurpur, Indora, Rehan, Jawali, Damtal, and Fatehpur) are included in this list. Sangla police station in Kinnaur district ranked lowest among the 20 police stations.
Nurpur ranked second among the 15 police districts in the CCTNS rankings, after Shimla. It received 41.15 ranking points, while Shimla Police District received 41.12 points. Nurpur Police District achieved this high position due to timely data entry by CCTNS and the technical team deployed in the district. It also ensured the fully professional and effective use of e-evidence and e-summon applications under new criminal laws. Hamirpur Police District scored 34.73 points and secured the 15th rank.
Nurpur SP Kulbhushan Verma said that this top position was achieved due to the dedication and hard work of all the police personnel, including the CCTNS team of the district. He said that the district police will continue to serve the people with the same dedication and professionalism in the future.
