Odisha CM sanctions Rs.39cr for Bargarh, 3 new bridges in offing
Bargarh: Odisha Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs. 39 crores for Bargarh district and has approved three new bridges, said reports on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned Rs 39 crore for the construction of three big bridges in Bargarh district. About 7.25 lakh people of the district will benefit from these three new bridges.
The Chief Minister has expressed hope that this will contribute to the development of social facilities and economic growth in the district along with transportation facilities.
It is worth noting that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, 5T Secretary V.K. Pandian visited Bargarh in June 26 and 27 and reviewed various development plans and met common people and heard their grievances.
Pandian informed the Chief Minister about the requests of the people at various places. Later, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 39 crore for the construction of three new large bridges in Bargarh district.
Among the three sanctioned bridges, there is one major bridge at Barpali. A bridge will be constructed over the Zealot canal of Barpali. 150 crore rupees will be spent on this 120 meter long bridge. It will connect Bargarh and Barpali block headquarters as well as communication facility to the district headquarters. This will benefit about 2 lakh 25 thousand people.
Similarly, 12 crore rupees have been sanctioned for the construction of a 60 meter long bridge over the canal towards Bargarh town. It will connect Parpali and Veden block headquarters with Bargarh district headquarters. as many as 2 lakh 50 thousand people will benefit from it.
The third bridge will be built on Sarala waterway. Rs. 12 crores have been sanctioned for this 150 meter long bridge. It will connect Bhatli block headquarters to Bargarh and Atabira block headquarters. As many as 2 lakh 50 thousand people in the district.
