Odisha Vigilance Raid On Tahasildar And One Other In Nayagarh, Bribe Of Rs. 20,000 Demanded
Nayagarh: There has been an Odisha Vigilance raid on Tahasildar of Khandapara in Nayagarh district of Odisha said reports on Wednesday. On late night of July 2, 2024 the raid was conducted on Dhobei Nayak, Tahasildar of Khandapara and one other in Nayagarh.
The Prasanna Kumar Sahoo (Private Person) have been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) from a Complainant to release his seized sand laden Hyva. Sahoo (Private Person) while accepting demanded bribe Rs.20,000/- as per direction of Nayak, Tahasildar was nabbed by the Vigilance team and the entire bribe money was recovered from Sri Sahoo and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Sri Nayak, Tahasildar from DA angle. In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No.11/2024 U/s-7PC (Amendment)Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against both the accused persons namely Nayak, Tahasildar and Sahoo, Private Person. Detailed reports awaited.
