Odisha’s Talcher surpasses Delhi in air pollution, restrictions Imposed to curb menace

Talcher: Odisha’s Talcher, in Angul district has surpasses the national capital Delhi in air pollution as the Air Quality Index (AQI) has crossed 332 here. Accordingly, the district Administration has imposed a few restrictions to curb the menace.
After the AQI standards in Talcher of Angul district exceeded Delhi, Angul district administration issued a series of guideline to improve air quality in Talcher.
Accordingly, construction work in areas under Talcher Municipality has been prohibited from 6 pm to 10 am for 16 hours.
Apart from that a ban has been put on burning coal in dhabas, hotels and other eateries where they are preparing food in the challah by burning coal.
Besides, restrictions have also been imposed on running of heavy vehicles in the town.
Also, the district Admonition has asked the Municipality, NHAI and MCL to pour water 3 times a day on the roads.
