Officials started preparations for parliament elections
Nizamabad: The district administration has started preparations for parliamentary elections. As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, officials will focus on counting of votes, distribution of election material and reserved space for electronic voting machines (EVMs). Parking facilities and security measures are also respected during parliamentary elections.
District Returning Officer and Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu along with Additional Collector P. Yadi Reddy visited RK Engineering College in Bodhan on Thursday to prepare for the by-election. Below the parliamentary electoral district of Nizamabad, elections will be held in seven electoral districts of the Assembly, including Nizamabad Urban, Nizamabad Rural, Bodhan, Armur, Balkonda, Korutla and Jagtial.
The officials held talks with the college authorities to make arrangements for the elections. The Collector ordered the officials to present detailed information about the infrastructure at the field level. It has been said that the officials at the constituency level of the Assembly should identify suitable places for elections in advance. Bodhan Tehsildar Gangadhar was also present.
