On the occasion of Mahashivratri, a flood of faith gathered at all the Shiva temples of Bageshwar

Bageshwar: Today is Mahashivratri. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, there is a flood of faith in all the Shiva temples of Bageshwar. Crowds of devotees are visible in the Shiva temples since morning. Devotees offered prayers at Bagnath Dham in Bageshwar. The temple was buzzing with devotees since morning and devotees sought blessings of happiness, prosperity and good fortune from Lord Shiva.
Devotees had to queue up and wait for their turn to offer prayers at Bagnath Dham. The priests conducted the worship of the devotees in the temple premises.
On Mahashivratri, the atmosphere was Shiva-filled in Kapkot, Kanda, Dug Nakuri, Kafligair and Garud tehsils of the district. Devotees went to Shiva temples and performed Jalabhishek of Lord Shankar. After performing the ritual puja, he sought blessings from God for happiness and good fortune. The faces of the priests also brightened up due to the worship in the temples. Bhajan Kirtans were also organized in temples in rural areas.
