OnePlus 12 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to launch on December 4
OnePlus has finally shared the launch dates of its next flagship device i.e. OnePlus 12. The device will launch on December 4 and feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset as well as a BOE X1 OLED LTPO display. The initial launch of the device will be in China and it will have Color OS 14. The device is expected to launch in India in early 2024 with Oxygen OS.
According to the company’s latest post on Weibo, the OnePlus 12 will be announced in China on December 4, the company’s 10th anniversary. The event will be held at 7:00 pm local time (4:30 am IST). The company has already revealed the details of the device on social media platforms.
Some of the specifications we know of the upcoming OnePlus 12 are the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, Sony LYTIA LYT808 primary rear camera sensor, and BOE’s latest LTPO OLED display. The 6.82-inch display will have a resolution of 2K, a maximum brightness level of 2,600 nits and will offer a DisplayMate A+ rating. The display resolution is 1,440 x 3,168px and the peak brightness is 2600 nits.
The leaked report suggests that the phone will run on Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 and feature a triple rear camera unit and a 32-megapixel selfie sensor. The primary camera is a 64MP OV64B sensor that offers 3x zoom. The ultrawide camera is also a 48MP camera. It is likely that it will also include an alert slider and an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. The handset is expected to pack a 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
