Operation of two trains canceled
Bastar. Naxalites’ Martyrdom Week has started in Bastar today from 28th July, which will continue till 3rd August. In view of this martyrdom week of Naxalites, the wheels of passenger trains have also stopped. Both the Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger and Night Express trains will not go to Kirandul beyond Dantewada. That means Dantewada will be the last stoppage of both these trains. However, the movement of goods trains will be maintained at a slow pace. Here, now the force is also on alert in Bastar.
In fact, the patch between Dantewada to Kirandul on the Kirandul-Kottavalasa railway line is a Maoist stronghold. Here in the dense forest of Basanpur-Jhirka, Maoists derail trains by uprooting most of the railway tracks. Due to this panic, this time also there has been a brake on the operation of passenger trains. The goods train will move at a slow speed. On the other hand, after the establishment of the police camp in Kamalur, the area has definitely become a bit peaceful, but the presence of Maoists is still intact.
In view of the Naxalites’ martyrdom week, the police force in Bastar has also been alerted. In Dantewada, Sukma, Bijapur, Narayanpur districts, jawans are continuously being sent out on operations. Jawans are entering the core area of Naxalites. So far, more than 5 Naxal camps have been demolished. A male Maoist has been killed in an encounter that took place 4 days back.
