Order for cleanliness campaign after Bikaner road show
Bikaner (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, known for his commitment towards the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, has once again demonstrated his dedication towards the cause. After a massive road show in Bikaner, Rajasthan on Monday, the Prime Minister ordered an immediate cleanliness drive on the route of the road show. Following the PM’s instructions, BJP workers immediately swung into action, as a result of which the entire route was cleaned in the night itself. This is not an isolated incident. The Prime Minister has consistently stressed that the routes of road shows and rally sites should be cleared by the BJP team immediately after the conclusion of the programmes. A recent example of this practice was seen in Indore, where the road show was cleared within hours of the event concluding.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi with the aim of making India clean. Its objective was to provide sanitation facilities including toilet, solid and liquid waste disposal system, village sanitation and safe and adequate drinking water supply to every household by October 2, 2019. As Rajasthan goes to polls this week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi And prominent BJP leaders have been holding roadshows and targeting Congress in their rallies over the issue of corruption and crimes against women in Rajasthan.
While key Congress campaigners focused on wooing voters and guaranteeing retention of power in the state, political parties are leaving no stone unturned in the run-up to the Rajasthan Assembly elections to be held on November 25. Rajasthan will go to polls on November 25 and counting of votes will take place on December 3 along with the other four states: Mizoram, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. In the 2018 assembly elections, the Congress won 99 seats, while the BJP won 73 seats in the 200-member House. Ultimately, with the support of BSP MLAs and independent MLAs, Gehlot took oath as CM.
