Over 200 cylinders stored in Tirupur seized

Tamil Nadu: Officials are investigating after seizing over 200 domestic cooking gas cylinders stored without proper permits in Tirupur.

The District Supply Department received information that cylinders were being stored without proper permits in Thai Mookambigai Nagar, near Chamundipuram, Tirupur. Based on the information, police led by District Supply Officer and Consumer Protection Officer Saravanan, Civil Supplies (North) Separate Taluka Officer Raghavi, and Civil Supplies Criminal Investigation Inspector Rajasekhar arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation. The investigation revealed that over 200 commercial and domestic cooking gas cylinders were being stored for sale without proper permits.

Following this investigation, officials determined that these cylinders belonged to Vinayak Gas Agency.

The stored cylinders were seized, and the agency owner, Mohan, is being questioned. Amid a shortage of cylinders, the accumulation of over 200 cylinders has caused an uproar in the area.
