Over 2,505 health camps organized under the Mukhyamantri Dai-Didi Clinic Yojana

Raipur: The Mukhyamantri Dai-Didi Clinic initiative provided free medical care to more than 1.87 lakh women living in slum areas of Raipur, Bilaspur, and Bhilai municipalities. Additionally, the initiative held about 2505 camps to provide treatment to these women and girls through mobile clinics.

Implemented by the Urban Administration and Development Department, the scheme aims to ensure healthcare services reach women and girls residing in slum areas. Equipped with all female doctors and paramedical staff, the mobile medical units conduct free check-ups and provide treatment for various ailments to those in need.

These mobile medical units have performed lab tests for more than 40,000 women and distributed free medicines to 1,77,143 women. Earlier, women living in impoverished slum areas or engaged in labour-intensive work faced challenges in accessing healthcare. However, with the introduction of Dai-Didi Clinics, these women can now conveniently receive treatment near their homes through dedicated female healthcare professionals and staff, eliminating barriers to healthcare access.
