Panic in Himachal due to frequent earthquakes, people stayed outside till late night

Shimla. Strong tremors of earthquake were felt in Himachal late on Tuesday night. A spokesman for the Disaster Management Authority said that from around 10.19 pm to 10.21 pm, earthquake tremors were felt three times in the state.

The earthquake measured 6.6 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was at 36.09 degrees latitude and 71.35 degrees longitude around the Hindukush region. There was no loss of life or property due to the earthquake, but there was an atmosphere of panic in Himachal due to the tremors. As soon as the earthquake occurred, people came out of their houses and stayed outside for a long time.
