Parents arrested as soon as daughter’s post mortem report came, reason for murder revealed
Janjgir-Champa: An incident of honor killing has come to light in Pisaud of City Kotwali police station area. Angered by the minor daughter’s love affair, the father and her stepmother strangled her to death and misled the police that she had committed suicide.
On November 29, Vijay of the village informed the police that his daughter had died last night. It appears that he has committed suicide. Police reached the spot and started investigation and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. After the post mortem report came on December 1, it was revealed that the girl’s death was not suicide but she was strangulated to death. When the police started interrogating her strictly, her father and stepmother Rekha broke down and confessed to the murder of their daughter. He told that his daughter was having an affair with a boy from the village. The daughter was not agreeing even after repeated explanations. Even on the night of the incident, he tried to explain this to her but she started arguing. Then both of them together strangled him to death. The police have arrested the husband and wife on charges of murder.
