Passengers’ money stolen from moving auto, vicious arrested
Raipur. The vicious person who stole the money of the passengers from the moving auto has been arrested. According to the police, Ramkumar Kaivartya lodged a report in police station Maudhapara that he is a resident of Ward No. 07 Karma Mata Chowk Kasdol district Balodabazar Bhatapara. The applicant had come to Raipur along with his brother-in-law Ram Vilas Kaivartya on date 13.05.2023 to buy hardware items keeping a cash amount of Rs.180000/-. The applicant sat with his brother-in-law in an auto from Sharda Chowk around 2.30 pm to buy plastic goods worth about Rs.80,000/- from a plastic shop located in Gol Bazar. A young man was already sitting in the auto and the applicant and his brother-in-law were sitting next to that young man. After walking some distance, the auto driver stopped the auto and said that the nut of the passenger seat has been uprooted. All three of you put your feet on the driver’s seat and push the passenger seat, otherwise the passenger seat will be uprooted, on which all three together put their feet on the driver’s seat and started pushing the passenger seat backwards. The young man sitting in the middle said that I have to go towards Jawahar Nagar and these people have to go towards Rathore Chowk. On which the auto driver said that I also want to get the vehicle made, saying that you guys get down here, dropped the applicant and his brother-in-law at MG Road and took the auto with the young man towards Jawahar Nagar. After alighting from the auto, the applicant checked his right side pocket and found that the cash amount of Rs.1,00,000/- kept in a white colored cloth bag was not in his pocket. The young man sitting in the auto stole it. On which crime number 109/23 Section 379, 34 Bhadvi was registered against the unknown accused in police station Maudhapara. Offense was registered.
Under the direction of senior officers, the joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Maudhapara police station arrested the accused Salim Manihar alias Monu, who was earlier involved in the incident, and seized Rs 15,000/- in stolen cash from his possession. Armaan Khan alias Sonu, the other accused involved in the case, was continuously absconding since the incident, while the team members raided every possible place of his hiding place, the accused in the case, Arman Khan alias Sonu, a resident of Durg, was arrested and action was taken against the accused by seizing the auto used in the incident from his possession.
