‘Pasuri’ hitmaker Ali Sethi breaks silence on marriage rumors
Mumbai (IANS). Pakistani singer Ali Sethi, who shot to fame globally with the song ‘Pasoori’, has rubbished rumors of marrying New York-based painter Salman Toor.
Social media users and their fans went crazy after knowing about their marriage on Friday. However, Ali took to Instagram on Saturday to break his silence on their marriage speculations. Ali rubbishes claims of marrying Salman in New York.
He wrote, “I am not married. I don’t know who started this rumour. But maybe they should help me in marketing my new release: ‘Paniya’.”

Born to journalist Najam Sethi and Jugnu Mohsin, Ali started his career in 2009 with the novel ‘The Wish Maker’.
He then turned to films in 2012. He made his debut with the song ‘Dil Jalane Ki Baat Karte Ho’ from Mira Nair’s ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’. Thereafter he sang popular ghazals as well as traditional Punjabi folk songs.
He has also presented many original music. His most notable songs are Aaqa, Ranjish Hi Sahi, Chain Kithan, Gulon Mein Rang and Chandni Raat.
His single ‘Pasoori’ for Coke Studio became a hit and made it to Spotify’s Viral 50 – Global chart. With over 600 million views on YouTube as of August 8, 2023, ‘Pasoori’ is currently the most viewed Coke Studio music video of all time and the first Coke Studio song to reach this milestone.
