PCB chief will soon come to India for India-Pakistan match
LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf will visit India on Thursday to watch the team’s match against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday. Zaka Ashraf took this decision after Pakistani media personnel were allowed to submit their passports for Indian visas to cover the ICC World Cup- 2023. The PCB chief said, “I delayed my trip to India and I am traveling after receiving confirmation that journalists from Pakistan will be required to submit their passports to obtain visas to cover the mega event.” I am glad that my talks with the Foreign Office helped in achieving a good outcome.” On the team’s performance, he said, “I am very happy with the way the players have performed so far in the World Cup and have won both the matches. The PCB Management Committee and the entire country stand strongly with the players for a successful campaign in the ongoing World Cup.” Pakistan has won both its matches so far in the World Cup. These matches were played in Hyderabad, where Pakistan defeated Netherlands and Sri Lanka. Now this team will face India in Ahmedabad which will be the biggest match in the league stage of the tournament.
