Kanpur (ANI): Due to smog in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, people are suffering from cough as well as other respiratory problems. Images from several locations in Kanpur show a thick layer of smog around parts of the city, with the overall air quality index (AQI) at 166, which falls in the ‘moderate’ category.
Speaking to ANI, local resident Vijay said, “We are suffering from cough. “We are having trouble breathing because of pollution.”
Another local Anil Vajpayee said that the government should take action in this regard. Vajpayee said, “Now winter is near, pollution is also increasing. “We suffer from eye irritation while driving.”
Meanwhile, according to SAFAR India, the national capital is also battling pollution as the AQI has fallen into the ‘very poor’ category.
