People were threatened with a buntchi knife, miscreant arrested
Dhamtari news. The Kotwali police immediately arrested the accused who was threatening with a Buntchi knife. The City Kotwali police station patrolling party received information from an informer through mobile near Ambedkar Chowk that a person wearing a white shirt and black petticoat is threatening the people passing by in front of Bastar Road Mandi Gate in Dhamtari by waving a Buntchi knife in his hand. On receiving the information, the police immediately reached the place mentioned by the informer and reached in front of Bastar Road Mandi Gate in Dhamtari and saw that a person was waving a sharp Buntchi knife in his hand in a public place, seeing which fear spread among the people passing by.
The said person was surrounded and caught by the staff and witnesses. On asking his name and address, he told his name as Kundan Dhruv, son of Deenbandhu Dhruv, age 23 years, resident of Depopara Dhamtari, Police Station City Kotwali Dhamtari (Chhattisgarh). When he could not produce valid documents for keeping and brandishing the said Buntchi knife, a sharp Buntchi knife was seized from his possession in front of witnesses. The act of the accused was registered as a crime under sections 25,27 of the Arms Act.
