Person arrested near CM Mamta’s residence, fake ID cards of several security agencies recovered
Kolkata (IANS). Security forces on Friday arrested Sheikh Noor Amin with weapons and drugs near West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s residence. Fake identity cards of several security agencies including IB and BSF have been recovered from Sheikh Noor Amin’s vehicle.
Police have seized the vehicle bearing registration number WB 07U0277. Police uniform has also been recovered from the vehicle.
City police sources said the identity card shown by Noor Amin while entering the high-security area near CM Mamata Banerjee’s residence was from the IB. However, the security officer present at the spot called it fake and immediately caught Amin with the help of his associates.
Initial investigation revealed that Amin, a native of Debra in West Midnapore district, was living with his wife at Anandapur on the outskirts of Kolkata. His neighbors knew him as the owner of a company called ‘Noor Interior’ and a member of the self-proclaimed human rights group called the Human Rights Protection Association.
