Petrol and diesel will not be available on Monday, tanker truck drivers on strike
Raipur. LPG, petrol and diesel tanker truck drivers suddenly went on strike on Saturday. They are protesting against the recent enactment of a new penal law in case of hit and run accidents. This strike was to last for three days from Monday. Tanker truck drivers, conductors went on sudden strike at petrol-diesel and LPG supply points – IOC/BPC Lakholi Terminal (Raipur), IOC Korba Terminal and bottling plant. No tanker trucks are reporting at these locations.
Drivers are not allowing trucks to enter. Due to this, petrol pumps in Chhattisgarh will become dry. The supply of petrol/diesel/LPG will be disrupted in the coming days. Divisional Retail Head, Raipur IOCL cum State Level Coordinator, Oil Industry, Amit Kumar has said that the district administration will have to provide support to the supply points to resolve the problem and release LPG/ LPG in the market. Sensitize to prevent any untoward shortage of petrol/diesel. There is no possibility of this strike ending immediately because it is already fixed till January 3. In such a situation, the shortage may increase from Monday.
