Petrol in cold drink bottle, youth got furious, girl became a ball of fire
Banda: In UP’s Banda, a youth became a butcher after his cousin refused. The youth brought petrol in a cold drink bottle and poured it on his sister and set her on fire. The girl jumped into the drain while making noise. She has been admitted to the medical college in critical condition. Three police teams have been deployed to nab the accused.
30-year-old Manju of Palhari village has been abandoned by her husband. She lives with her three children at her mother’s house. On Sunday night around 8 o’clock, cousin brother Rambabu, a resident of Achha village, came home. He asked her to come with him. When Manju refused, he poured oil and set her on fire. The accused had brought oil in a cold drink bottle. The girl became a ball of fire and started writhing in pain. She jumped into the drain while making noise to save herself. She was taken to the district hospital in critical condition from where the doctors referred her to the medical college.
Police says that teams are continuously raiding to arrest the accused. CO City Rajveer Singh said that three teams have been dispatched to arrest the accused. He said that the accused had brought petrol in a cold drink bottle. Meanwhile, Manju’s mother informed about the entire incident while crying.
