PM Modi Releases Four Books On G20 Summit Success During The University Connect Finale
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released four books covering various facets of the success of the G20 Presidency hosted by India. The books were released at the G20 University Connect Finale. They are also available online on the G20 India website and its application in ebook format. Notably, by November 30, when the term of India’s G20 Presidency ends, over 220 meetings would have happened across 60 cities in all 28 states and 8 union territories.
The book ‘Showcasing Indian Culture at G20 shows the range and diversity of Indian culture presented to the G20 delegates through the length and breadth of the country. The Prime Minister also released other publications on the occasion namely, The Grand Success of G20 Bharat Presidency: Visionary Leadership, Inclusive Approach; India’s G20 Presidency: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam; and Compendium of G20 University Connect Programme.
India’s cultural showcase during G20 events in India

As part of the G20, 300 cultural programmes were organised in over 60 venues across the country involving 17,000 artists and were held under the leadership of Joint Secretary MEA and Deputy Director General ICCR Abhay Kumar, under the guidance of Director General of ICCR Kumar Tuhin. The G20 events were organised in every State and Union Territory providing each of the states an opportunity to showcase to the G20 delegates their native culture and also opening avenues to make India a premium destination for tourism.
Promoting cross-cultural understanding
In an attempt to provide a platform for cultural exchange, the delegates attending the G20 events in various cities were exposed to the performing arts, visual arts, heritage sites, and culinary traditions of the respective cities thereby serving as a testament to the country’s cultural richness.
A series of classical, folk, and tribal dances and music showcasing India’s multicultural and pluralistic society were performed at G20 events from Kashmir to Andaman and Nicobar and from Rann of Kutch to Kohima during the past ten months.
