Police arrested 2 inter state ganja smugglers
Mahasamund. In Mahasamund, the police has taken major action against the ganja smugglers. 2 inter state ganja smugglers have been arrested. Saraipali police has taken action against illegal marijuana smuggling. They have been caught smuggling illegal marijuana in the guise of kanwariyas wearing bolbum cloth in motor cycles. Action has been taken under the direction of Superintendent of Police Mahasamund Dharmendra Singh, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Akash Rao Girepunje and SDOP Saraipali Abhishek Keshari.
Ashish Wasnik, in-charge of Saraipali police station, had received information from the informer. On the way to Saraipali from Odisha side, Bol Bam was transporting hemp illegally by keeping it in a blue colored R-15 motor cycle dressed in saffron colored clothes in the guise of Kanwariyas. On receiving information about Rewa going to Madhya Pradesh, the Hamrah staff left and reached NH 53 Main Road near Baitari Chowk. Where after some time a blue colored R-15 yamaha motor cycle was seen coming from Odisha road, which was stopped by siege. On asking the name and address of the two persons sitting in the said blue colored motorcycle without number, on asking their name (1) Abhay Patel father Ambika Prasad Patel age 19 years Sakin Ghopi police station Mangawan district Rewa Madhya Pradesh (2) Amit Shukla father Gyanendra Shukla Age 27 years Sakin Karha Police Station Gangev District Rewa Madhya Pradesh told.
Both Bolbams were in the guise of Kanwariyas. On search of his motorcycle blue color bag full of 31 kg (thirty one kg) narcotic ganja worth Rs 7,75000 was found, on questioning, Bolbam smuggled ganja from Odisha by concealing illegal ganja in the guise of Kavadis. Told to bring Seized 31 kg of narcotic ganja worth Rs 7,75,000 and R-15 motor cycle without number used in transportation worth Rs 2,00,000 (Rupees Two Lakh) Total Jumla worth Rs 9,95,000 (Rupees Nine Lakh Ninety Five Thousand) Seized before witness The accused was arrested after the act of the accused was found to be an offense under section 20(b) of the ndps act.
Crime number 186/23, Section 20 (b) Narcotic Act is to be sent in police station Saraipali and sent on remand. ASI Balram, Sahu head constable Dolamdi Bhoi, constable Yogendra Banjare, Manvendra Dhidhi, constable Sanjeev Yadav and all the staff station Saraipali contributed in the entire action.
