Police arrested 2 persons with heroin
Bilaspur. In District Bilaspur, the team of Police Station Swarghat has arrested two people in a car along with heroin. The accused car driver has been identified as Praveen Kumar (38) resident of Salnu Tehsil Sadar district Bilaspur and the other person has been identified as Ravikant (33) village Baloh Tehsil Ghumarwin district Bilaspur. The police have arrested the accused and registered a case against them under section 21/25/29 of the NDPS Act.
According to information, the Swarghat police was blocking the Scissor turn of NH-205 Chandigarh-Manali. During this, the police stopped a Punjab number Maruti car coming from Nayanadevi road for investigation. During the search, 5.23 grams of heroin was recovered from two persons in the car. The matter has been confirmed by DSP Nayanadevi Vikrant Bonsala.
