Police arrested a person carrying a reward of five thousand rupees
In the above case, the police team, with the help of informers etc., had already arrested accused 1. Sunil, 2. Purushottam, 3-Pushpa Devi and on 20.05.2023, accused 1. Mahendra, 2. Yatendra had been arrested by doing Patarsi-Suragarsi tax on 10.05.2023. Was sent to jail. Under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police Pauri Shweta Choubey, Pauri Police has taken another major action against fraud under Operation Prahar. Let us tell you, in the month of October last year, Sheela Devi resident Jhandichowd filed a first information report at Kotwali Kotdwar that a person named Purushottam, who calls himself the son of Vadini’s brother Satishpal Singh alias Satyapal, had raped Vadini’s brother Satishpal Singh alias Satyapal. By filing a civil case number 08/2019 Purushottam vs. Satishpal before the Court Civil Judge Junior Division Kotdwar Garhwal by falsely and artificially declaring him missing since 1998, by presenting false documents and evidence before the Honorable Court and misleading the Honorable Court. While the plaintiff’s brother was alive, he was declared dead in the Honorable Court and by Purushottam, the account of 0.079 hectare land of village West Jhandichowd, Patti Haldukhata, Kotdwar and 0.096 hectare land of village East Jhandichowd, Patti Haldukhata, Kotdwar was transferred to the account of the plaintiff in Khatauni. After registering the land in place of my brother, I got the land registered in my own name. I was told by the widow that my brother Satishpal is still alive and healthy and lives with me. Also, Vadini’s brother has bought and sold his land from time to time between 2009 and 2015. From which it is clear that Vadini’s brother is not missing and has been residing in East Indi Chaud Kotdwar. On the basis of first information report, FIR No. 255/2022, Section 420 IPC vs. Purushottam etc. was registered at Kotwali Kotdwar.

The accused Suresh Chandra in the above mentioned case was absconding for a long time, continuous raids were being conducted at possible places to arrest the absconding accused, but due to being a vicious criminal, the accused was not being caught by the police. A reward of ₹ 5,000/- was announced by Mr. Senior Superintendent of Police on the absconding accused Suresh Chandra.
Seeing the seriousness of the said fraud incident, Senior Superintendent of Police Pauri Shweta Chaubey, while monitoring herself, ordered to form a team under the leadership of Inspector-in-charge Kotdwar for the immediate arrest of the absconding accused Suresh Chandra. After camping in Delhi for several days, with the help of tireless efforts and solid surveillance by the formed police team, the accused Suresh Chandra was arrested from Mukundpur Borari, Delhi on 21.10.2023. The accused has been produced before the Honorable Court and sent to jail in judicial custody. Information about other criminal history of the accused is being sought.
