Rajnandgaon. The police have arrested the accused who stole a bag full of money by breaking the glass of the car. This incident was carried out by the interstate gang of thieves. Chasing the car and getting the opportunity cleared the money. The perpetrators of the incident are members of an organized gang from Nellore (Andhra Pradesh). The CCTV cameras installed in the city have played an important role in the arrest of the accused. The arrested accused has been sent to jail on judicial remand.

According to the information, the accused has been identified as Jeeva Rathinam father David Babu age 31 years, resident of Raj Mangalam district Chennai. Applicant Raghavendra Shukla father Rameshchandra Shukla age 44 years resident Kamathi Line Rajnandgaon police station came and lodged a report that he works as a commission agent in White Level ATM Hitachi Payment Service Company. On July 21, at 11:00 am, he went to the ambassador bar to have food through his car, after withdrawing Rs 11.40 lakh from his account and keeping it in a bag to deposit money in various ATMs from Bandhan Bank. When he came back after having dinner at 2 in the afternoon, he saw that the bag full of money kept in the car was stolen by an unknown thief by breaking the coach of his car. On the report, Crime No. 540/23 Section 379 Bhadvi 0 against the unknown thief was taken into consideration.

Immediately, a joint team of Police Station Kotwali and Cyber Cell was formed under the leadership of Station Officer-in-Charge Inspector Eman Sahu. While blockade, separate teams were sent to the city’s Chowk Square and Durg Bhilai and Nagpur Maharashtra routes. The team was dispatched to chase the accused on the basis of the footage and information of the informer after compiling the CCTV footage installed around the incident site.

It was learned through the informer that the said footage was found to be of accused 1 Jeeva Rathinam of Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. For whose arrest the team (police party) formed was sent to Andhra Pradesh Chennai. On coming to know that the said accused was in Chennai, the accused was taken into custody by laying siege to the received address. On being brought to the police station and interrogated, his name Jeeva Rathinam, father David Babu, age 31 years, resident of house no. 44 Raj Mangalam First Street, Villibakam police station, Raj Mangalam district, Chennai, and told to be involved in the incident along with his three companions.

To commit the incident, coming by bus near Durg railway station by giving wrong Aadhaar card and renting a house, coming to Rajnandgaon via motor cycle to commit the incident and chasing the applicant’s car from the bank along with his colleagues. Admitted to stealing money by breaking the coach. 1.4 lakh of the stolen money was seized. Police remand of the accused was taken for locating other accused and collecting evidence. For the arrest of other accused in the case, separate teams are being formed and the address is being sought.
