Police crackdown on gambling scam, 12 gamblers arrested

The police have conducted a raid on the gambling den in the forest on the Chhattisgarh border, in which one dozen well-known gamblers from 4 districts Shahdol, Manendragarh, Pendra Anuppur of both the states have been caught, while many gamblers have managed to escape. District SP Bhavna Gupta was receiving complaints of large-scale gambling on Interstate Star in the forests of the border area of Marwahi Pendra and Gaurela, after which, on the instructions of SP Bhavna Gupta, the cyber and Marwahi police team raided the Dharhar forest of Marwahi. Took action by raiding the ongoing gambling den.

In which 12 gamblers living in both the states have been arrested. Two cars along with Rs 2 lakh 23 thousand in cash have also been seized from them. Among all these caught gamblers, many are habitual gamblers who are included as big gamblers. There were many complaints about inter-state gambling in Marwahi for a long time but no action was being taken by the previous police station in-charges. Now after coming to the notice of the newly appointed SP, this major action has been taken. Apart from this, there are complaints of gambling going on in the forests in Gaurela also.
