Police detected fake government office, grabbed crores from the government
Ahmedabad (Gujarat): Till now in Gujarat, fake officials used to deceive people by pretending to be employees working in the Prime Minister and Chief Minister’s office, now fake government offices have also been found. Crores of rupees have been embezzled by creating fake government offices in Chhota Udaipur district. Police have registered a case of setting up a fake government office and defrauding the government of Rs 4.15 crore. Two accused have been arrested in this case.
Accused Sandeep Rajput has been exposed for taking grants by creating a fake office. A fake government office was created in the name of Executive Engineer Irrigation Project Bodeli and grant was also given from the Tribal Department. The surprising thing is that this fake office has received a grant of more than Rs 4 crore 15 lakh in the name of 93 development works. According to the complaint received by the police, accused Sandeep had made fake papers and documents from a fake government office from 2021 to 2023.
On the basis of fake documents, Rs 4.15 crore was sanctioned and taken from the government for 93 different development works. The police arrested two accused and presented them in the court, from where they have been sent on 12-day remand. Police is investigating this matter. It will be seen how the fake office was opened and whether any government official is involved in it. Accused Sandeep had set up a government office which worked for the Irrigation Department. He used to send proposals for irrigation works which were passed. The matter came to light due to suspicion in the office.
