Police, firing wanted criminal killed, 3 associates caught

Ludhiana: A criminal wanted in connection with the recent armed robberies in Punjab’s Ludhiana was killed in a shootout with the police, police said on Thursday. Police said the culprit has been identified as Sukhdev Singh alias Vicky, who along with his three associates had fled after committing several violent crimes. Police said he was the mastermind behind a wave of crimes in which two victims were beaten. The police were actively pursuing Singh and his associates. The police had arrested three associates. Police have recovered a significant cache of weapons from the spot, including two pistols of caliber 32, ammunition, a toy pistol and motorcycles used by the robot. They are doing more research.
