Police personnel performed the last rites of an unclaimed body.
Baloda Bazar. Police personnel have once again demonstrated humanity. An unidentified mentally ill man died in a road accident in Kodwa village, under the Palari police station area of Baloda Bazar district. As the identity of the deceased and his family members were not known, police personnel performed his last rites with full rituals.
According to information, the unidentified man died in a road accident in Kodwa village on September 26, 2025. After the Panchnama and post-mortem were completed, when no relatives came forward, Assistant Constable Rajendra Thakur and Constable Krishna Yadav decided to take the initiative and perform the last rites themselves.
On September 27, the two personnel performed all the rituals of the funeral with respect. This initiative by the police personnel is being widely appreciated in the area.
