Police raid at Mahua liquor maker’s place
Raigarh. Under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police Sadanand Kumar and guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Mahadev and Police Sub-Divisional Officer Dharamjaigarh Deepak Mishra, action is being taken by continuously running a campaign to curb gambling, betting, illegal liquor, illegal sale and transportation of ganja in the sub-division.
In the same sequence, during patrolling, outpost in-charge Rairumakhurd sub-inspector Ainu Kumar Dewangan got information from the informer in Bakaruma that Ram Rathiya, resident of Barkhapara, was illegally selling country Mahua liquor by keeping it in jerkins and bottles in the courtyard of his house. Rairumakhurd police immediately conducted a raid on the information in which 37.250 bulk liters of country Mahua liquor worth Rs 6050, filled in jerkins and bottles, was recovered from the possession of accused Ram Rathia, father Subechand Rathia, age 39 years, resident of Bakrapara outpost Rairumakhurd police station Dharamjaigarh, illegal liquor. After formal seizure, action was taken against the accused under Section 34(2), 59(A) of Chhattisgarh Excise Act 2002 at Rairumakhurd police station, Dharamjaygarh and the accused has been sent on judicial remand. In the liquor raid proceedings, outpost in-charge Rairumakhurd Ainu Kumar Dewangan, head constable Chintamani Kurre, Lakshmi Narayan Kenvart, constables Amal Ekka, Tulsiram Nag, lady constable Babita Kujur had special contribution.
