Police raid near gas agency, 5 gamblers arrested

Janjgir: Police caught 5 gamblers while gambling. Action was taken against the accused under Section 13 Gambling Act and Section 3 (2) Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act 2022. In fact, on October 29, tip-off was received that some people were gambling in Navagarh behind Bardeva Khar Gas Agency. On receiving the information, raid action was taken by Navagarh Police. On the spot, accused Nikhil Dhiwar age 21 years, Durgesh Kashyap age 19 years, Ajay Kashyap age 26 years, Kedar Nath Sao age 39 years, Shaukhi Lal Kashyap age 35 years, all residents of Navagarh, were caught gambling.

Jumla cash amount of Rs 5,200 and 52 Patti Tas were recovered from the possession of the accused and after giving testimony before the accused, crime number 319/23 was registered against the accused in Police Station Navagarh under Section 13 Gambling Act and Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act 2022. Action was taken under. Inspector Kamlesh Sende, in-charge of police station Navagarh, assistant sub-inspector Ramesh Ekka, constable Balram Yadav, Tukeshwar Dansena, Bhuneshwar Patel and police station Navagarh stop were involved in the proceedings.
