Police raid on hookah bar, 7 youth arrested
Korba. Police has raided an illegally operating hookah bar in the city. The police team went to the spot to verify the information received from the informer and found a total of 07 boys smoking hookah on the spot, who were found to be jointly consuming huge quantities of cigarettes and other tobacco products by creating a hookah-bar-like situation in the entire room. On enquiry, they revealed their names as Hameed Memon, Vikas Thakur, Ayush Singh, Rishabh Aggarwal, Pritam Sahu, Oesh Memon and Sameer Singh, who were booked under section 111 for consuming/providing the consumption of such huge quantity of cigarettes and other tobacco products on the spot. 91 S.P.No. By giving notice, demand for valid documents/license was made.
According to the seizure sheet from the possession of the accused after submitting the reply by the witnesses in writing that they did not have any license, (01) Hookah smoking glass in total 08 sets and 11 pieces of hookah pipe worth about 24000/- (02) Hookah tobacco of Aladdin Company. Flavor total 11 packets worth around Rs 1650/-, (03) Afzal Company’s Hookah Tobacco Flavor total 11 packets worth around Rs 1100/- (04) Alfakher Company’s Hookah Tobacco Facer 01 kg. 01 box worth around 2449/- (05) Al Aayan Company’s Hookah Tobacco Flavor 01 kg. 02 boxes worth around Rs 4000/- (06) Charcoal of Al Akbar Company used in hookah was seized.
