Police registered a case of murder after a mutilated body was recovered from the drainage chamber
Indore : Pardeshipura police on Thursday registered a case under murder section against unknown killer/killers after recovering a mutilated body of a man from the drainage chamber. The case was registered after the police received the autopsy report.
Pardeshipura police station in-charge Pankaj Dwivedi said that on November 16, the body of an unknown person was recovered from the chamber in Clerk Colony area. The dead body was quite decomposed and was about a month old. Doctors told the police that injury marks were found on the head and it could be a case of murder.
After this, the police registered a case against unknown people under section 302 of the IPC. CCTVs of the area are being checked to trace the suspects and the deceased.
According to police records, five persons aged between 25 and 35 years – similar to the recovered body – were reported missing in the last two months. Efforts are being made to find out whether this body is of any one of the missing people or not.
Dwivedi further said that DNA test will also be conducted if needed. A team has been formed to investigate the case and identify the killer/killers.
