Police tightened its grip against drugs, 2 youths arrested in Panduka

In view of the upcoming assembly elections, guidelines of Umni/Senior Superintendent of Police Amit Tukaram Kamble to stop illegal smuggling of ganja, diamond, liquor and wild animals in the district and to maintain peace and order in their respective police station areas. The special campaign is being run under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police D.C. Patel and supervision of Sub-Divisional Officer Pushpendra Nayak. As a result, continuous action is being taken against illegal smugglers.

In this series, police station in-charge Panduka received information from the informer that Lilaram Dhruv and Dilip Kumar Ogre of village Atramra were selling and transporting country Mahua liquor in large quantities illegally, on the information of which a team was formed in the police station and reached the reported spot.

Police team was dispatched where Leelaram Dhruv and Dilip Kumar Ogar were found selling illegal raw Mahua liquor. Who was surrounded and caught by the police, when interrogated, the accused gave their (01) name Leela Ram Dhruv, father Askaran Dhruv, age 29 years, resident of Kumharpara police station Panduka and (02) accused Dilip Kumar Oger, father Inspector Ram Oger, age 30 years, resident of Sakin Atarmara police station Panduka. 20 liters of raw Mahua liquor worth ₹ 4000 was seized by the police before witness testimony. Since the act of the accused was found to be a crime under Chhattisgarh Excise Act, Section 34(2) of the Excise Act, a crime was registered against the accused and taken up for investigation.

In the said proceedings, the work of police station in-charge Panduka Inspector Suryakant Bhardwaj, Sauni Gopal Ram Sahu, head constable Omkar Sahu, constable Ramkumar Khairwar, soldier Bhamendra Sahu was commendable.
