Police took action against the transporter, accused of betraying the trust
Bhilai: Vaishali Nagar Police has filed an FIR under the sections of fraud and breach of trust against a transporter who embezzles money by taking a tanker on rent. The accused had taken the contract of fuel transportation from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited Company. For this, three tankers of the victim transporter were hired. The accused had promised to give the remaining money to the victim’s transporter after keeping the commission, but he absorbed the entire amount. After this, the victim transporter lodged a complaint against the accused in Vaishali Nagar police station.
Vaishali Nagar TI Pradeep Shori told that the complainant Hemant Kumar Soni, resident of Junior MIG Vaishali Nagar, is a transporter by profession. He has lodged a report against the accused Chandan Yadav, resident of New Khursipar. Police said that on January 7, 2021, a tender for loading was floated by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). Chandan Singh Yadav wanted to participate in this, but he did not have a truck tanker for loading. He contacted the victim to rent a truck tanker. On which the victim gave his three tankers on rent to him.
The accused told him that whatever amount of rent would come every month. After keeping three percent of it, the remaining money will be deposited in his account by the 15th of every month. Despite the promise, the accused did not pay even a single rupee of rent to the victim. The accused embezzled Rs 12 lakh 98 thousand 312 as rent. When the victim contacted him for money. The accused first assured her of giving him the money and then started threatening to kill her. Troubled by this, the victim complained to Vaishali Nagar police station. Police have registered a case against accused Chandan Singh Yadav and started investigation.
