Police vehicle collides with trailer, 2 soldiers and driver injured
Bilaspur: The jeep of Surajpur police personnel collided with a trailer in Sendri village near Bilaspur, in which two policemen and the driver were injured. According to the information, the police team had gone to Raipur with a production warrant for an undertrial prisoner from Surajpur district. While returning, his Scorpio jeep was hit by a trailer coming from the front. Due to this the Scorpio was badly damaged. The trailer went off the road and overturned. ASI Arun Gupta and constable Harishankar along with driver Govind were injured in the accident, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Koni police has registered a crime in the case.
It is known that the part of this National Highway from Bilaspur to Pathrapali adjacent to Sendri village is dangerous. Accidents happen frequently here. During the hearing of a PIL in the High Court, the National Highway Authority of India has accepted the irregularities in the road construction at this place and has talked about building a flyover here. This work has not started yet. Angry villagers have demonstrated here several times after accidents.
