Pramod Nautiyal arrested in Badrinath offering theft case
Chamoli: The arrest of Pramod Nautiyal, accused in the case of theft of offerings in Badrinath Dham, was no less than a film story. Since the case was registered, the accused was away from the police and was constantly trying to avoid arrest by changing his locations. However, Chamoli police finally arrested him from his Dehradun home on Sunday night.
According to the information, a case was registered on July 8 in the case of theft related to offerings in Badrinath Dham. Since then the accused Pramod Nautiyal was absconding. The police were continuously raiding in search of him, but the accused was dodging the police by changing his location every time.
It is being told that Pramod Nautiyal was continuously hiding at different places to avoid arrest. During this time, he was also busy looking for legal options. The police was getting information about his activities, but the accused was successful in changing his location again and again.
Chamoli police, which is investigating the case, made efforts at many levels to find the accused. The police team kept an eye on his contacts, possible locations and activities. In the same sequence, on Sunday night the police received important information that the accused was present at his home in Dehradun.
As soon as the information was received, a team of Chamoli police became active. At around 9 pm, the police team raided his residence in Dehradun. Due to this sudden action, the accused did not get a chance to recover and the police arrested him from the spot.
