Pregnant wife pushed to death by bus, husband’s cruelty on small matters

Chennai: Husband kills pregnant wife by pushing her under bus. The shocking incident happened in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. Valarmati (19), who was five months pregnant, was murdered. Her husband Pandian (24) was arrested by the police after he confessed to the crime.

Pandian, who was drunk, killed his wife over a minor argument. The two were traveling by bus to collect a two-wheeler gifted by Valarmati’s father and were sitting in the back seat.

During the journey, they had an argument and Pandian angrily pushed Valarmathi off the bus. Later the accused himself told the bus staff that he had pushed his wife. By the time Dindigal police reached the spot after getting information from the conductor, the woman was dead. After post-mortem the body was handed over to the relatives. Pandian and Valarmathi got married only eight months ago.
