Patna: President Draupadi Murmu on Wednesday inaugurated the Fourth Agriculture Road Map of Bihar in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Addressing the people on this occasion, he said that it is a matter of happiness that the Fourth Agriculture Road Map has been started in the state. There is no option other than integrated development to make Bihar a developed state.
The President said that Bihar will have to work on making a road map for development in every sector. There is a need for integrated development by coming out of man-made narrowness. The policy makers of the state will have to take initiative and follow the road map of development. Describing climate change as a global problem, he said that Bihar is known for its rivers and ponds, but this year there has been less rainfall here too.

Expressing happiness, he said that the farmers of Bihar have kept traditional farming alive along with modernity. Agriculture is the backbone of Bihar’s economy. I also want to see once the method of farming here, how people do farming here. The President said that after leaving the post of President, I want to go to the village and do farming there. Earlier, on reaching Patna airport on a three-day visit, he was welcomed by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Assembly Speaker Avadh Bihari Chaudhary and many ministers and senior officials.
After this, the President reached Bapu Auditorium, where he inaugurated the Fourth Agricultural Roadmap 2023-28 as per the scheduled programme. The President will also go to Patna Sahib Takht Sriharmandir in the evening to pay obeisance. On the arrival of the President, a dinner has been organized at Raj Bhavan. The President will rest for the night at Raj Bhavan. On October 19, the President will visit Motihari, where she will participate in the convocation ceremony of Mahatma Gandhi University. She will also participate in the convocation ceremony of Patna AIIMS on the same day in the evening.
On October 20, she will go from Patna to Gaya, where she will participate in the convocation ceremony of South Bihar Central University. After this, she will leave for Delhi from Gaya.
