President Murmu reviewed NDA passing out parade
Pune: President of India Draupadi Murmu on Thursday reviewed the passing out parade of the 145th course of the National Defense Academy at Khadakwasla, Pune.
On this occasion, along with President Murmu, Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan and GOC-in-C of Southern Command, Lieutenant General Ajay Kumar Singh were also present.
The passing out parade of the 145th Cadet Course of the National Defense Academy marked a historic day as the first batch of women cadets, now in their second year of three-year training at the NDA at Khadakwasla Pune, along with the male cadets Marched and participated. Today in the passing out parade of the academy. About fifteen women participated in the march.
President Murmu in his speech appreciated the women cadets for being a part of the marching contingent.
He said, “I was told that training for girl cadets has started from 2022 and today some women cadets were part of the marching contingent. I congratulate her and am sure she will take the name of the country and NDA to new heights.” Said while addressing the gathering.
President Draupadi Murmu is on a four-day visit to Maharashtra. He inaugurated the centenary year celebrations of Kaivalyadham in Lonavala Maharashtra on Wednesday.
On Friday, the President will present the President’s Flag to the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune in Pune. She will also virtually inaugurate the Armed Forces Center for Computational Medicine ‘Pragya’.
The President will attend the 111th convocation of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University in Nagpur on Saturday.
