Prime accused of Loot gang nabbed in Cuttack
Cuttack: The prime accused of a loot gang has been nabbed by the Cuttack police on Monday. Reportedly, the accused used to eat from the fridge and use the bathroom of the house wherever he used to rob.
The accused has been identified as Saikh Babu. At the same time, the police seized a large amount of gold, rupees, and money.
While speaking to the media, Cuttack DCP informed that a total of Rs 21 lakhs worth of valuable articles was seized. It was also discovered that 9 cases have been filed against the accused in different police stations.
Police seized 295 grams of gold jewelry and 2 kg of rupee jewelry along with cash of Rs 2.1 lakh. Apart from this, 10 mobile phones, 3 laptops, 3 cameras, canes, speakers, wrist watches, and many other assets have been seized from the possession of the accused.
In the past month, the accused broke into over six houses in Bidanasi police station, Lalbagh police station, Marsalbag police station, and other areas of the city. Following the arrest, Cuttack DCP has also asked every citizen to maintain security and stay aware of such incidents.
