Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has directed that issues related to the state’s power system be given top priority. He specifically emphasized the need for prompt resolution of low voltage issues and consumer complaints. The Chief Minister stated that all necessary steps should be taken immediately to make the power supply system more robust, stable, and consumer-centric.

These instructions were issued during a review meeting of the Energy Department held at the Chennai Secretariat. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was accompanied by Power and Law Minister R. Officials presented detailed reports on the current challenges and improvement opportunities in the power sector. The Chief Minister, after closely examining all aspects, directed that uninterrupted and quality power supply be ensured for consumers.

Chief Minister Vijay Vijay, taking the issue of low voltage particularly seriously, stated that it is a significant problem affecting the daily lives of the general public and must be addressed on a priority basis. He directed officials to immediately initiate technical improvements and network upgrades in areas with significant voltage issues.

The Chief Minister also stressed the need to make the process of resolving consumer complaints faster and more transparent. He urged strengthening the grievance redressal system to ensure timely resolution and further enhance public trust in the electricity department.

At the end of the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the Energy Department to prepare the state’s power system for future needs and also promote the use of renewable energy sources, so as to ensure stable and affordable power supply in the long run.
