Prohibition of alcohol should be the national policy of India: Th. Thirumavalavan

Tamil Nadu: Liberation Tigers of Tamil Nadu leader Tholam Thirumavalavan said that prohibition should be India’s national policy.
A felicitation ceremony was held at VIT University, Vellore, on Sunday for poet Abdul Khader, who received the Kalaimamani Award and the Seethakkadi Foundation Award from the Tamil Nadu government. Twenty-two organizations, including Tamiliakkam, jointly organized the function. Thirumavalavan attended as a special guest, stating:
Tamil society should not be divided by casteist elements. Concerned that politics aimed at destroying them should not take root, VIT Chancellor G. Viswanathan is responsibly managing the Tamil movement by selecting the right leaders. Furthermore, he is developing and implementing an action plan to develop all children from the most backward districts of North Arcot and South Arcot in Tamil Nadu into higher education graduates.
It is an honor for Professor Abdul Khader to work with such responsible leadership. Speaking, Abdul Khader expressed concern that society should not be degraded and ruined solely because of star attraction. What harm will be caused to these people and the country by attempting to rule them solely based on star attraction, without any effort, without any contribution, without any sacrifice? This is the pretense of a knowledgeable person.
He agrees with Gandhi on the prohibition policy. Those who can print Gandhi’s picture on currency notes have forgotten Gandhi’s principle that prohibition should be implemented throughout the country. When it comes to prohibition, Tamil Nadu should not be considered an isolated entity. Prohibition should be a national policy. He said that the central government should take a stand on this.
VIT Chancellor G. Viswanathan presided over the speech. Although Kaviyaruvi Abdul Khader was born in Madurai district, he grew up and lived in North Arcot district. Although he retired as a professor of Tamil, his Tamil work continues through Tamiliakkam. Abdul Khader is a man who can speak his mind boldly and in a way that resonates with everyone. He has written thousands of poems and articles. He said that the Tamil Nadu government has honored him with the Kalaimamani Award.
Higher Education Minister Kovi Chezhiyan said,
VIT is one of the country’s educational institutions that operates with a social mindset and is not for profit. VIT Chancellor Go. Viswanathan is continuously working for the welfare of Tamil Nadu.
Chief Minister Stalin presented the Kalaimamani Award to Abdul Khader, who deserves the title of Literary Speaker. He said that the biggest changes in Tamil Nadu were brought about by people like Periyar, Anna, Karunanidhi, and Ambedkar.
Vellore Assembly Member P. Karthikeyan, Tamiliakka Deputy Secretary Solanathan, Treasurer V. Pathumana, State Secretary M. Sukumar, and Appreciation Committee Secretary Thirunavukkarasu attended the ceremony.
