Prostitution business in mall, female broker arrested in police raid

Mumbai In Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, police have exposed a sex racket being run under the guise of a spa center. The police have arrested a woman who is the leader of this black business of prostitution. Now the police is interrogating that woman. Besides, news of rescue of two girls from there has also come to light. Now there is a possibility that the names of many people will be exposed in this case. According to a police officer, this case is from Vashi area of Navi Mumbai Township. Where the police were continuously receiving complaints of running a prostitution racket under the guise of a spa center operating in a popular mall. On the basis of the same complaint, the police raided the spa center and arrested a 40-year-old woman on charges of prostitution.

Giving information in this regard to PTI, a senior police officer of the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of Navi Mumbai Police said that acting on a tip-off, the police had sent a fake customer to the spa center on Tuesday evening. At that time, two girls of about 20 years of age were also present there, who were working at the outlet.

Inspector Prithviraj Ghorpade further said that when the police team interrogated both of them, it came to light that they were being forced into prostitution. The woman who did this to him turned out to be the leader of this racket. The police have arrested the woman who allegedly forced them into prostitution. After this, the police officer said that both the girls rescued from the spa have been sent to the rescue home.

Giving information, an officer of Navi Mumbai Police said that a case has been registered against the accused woman under sections 370 (trafficking of persons) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
