Punch brutally murdered in village, was missing for 2 days
Jhajjar. Member (Panch) of Gram Panchayat Birdhana was murdered in Jhajjar, Haryana. Panch’s body was found lying on the Chhara Minor passing near Maharana village. Injury marks were found on his body. After receiving information about the dead body, the police team also reached the spot and started further investigation. The body was taken into custody and sent to Jhajjar civil hospital for postmortem. According to the information, 48 year old Ramesh, resident of village Birdhana, used to work as a farmer. Recently he was a Panchayat member. He has a son. Ramesh had left home on 16 February asking him to return after some time. But after this he did not return till night. After this the family started searching for Ramesh, but no clue was found. After this, the police was also informed about the missing of the punch.

Investigating officer ASI Sanjay, who came from Dujana police station of Jhajjar, said that on Saturday, the police had received information that a dead body of a person was lying on the Chhara Minor passing near Maharana village. There are injury marks on his body. Today the deceased was identified as Panch Ramesh. Police have registered a case of murder against an unknown person on the statement of his son Kewal. The postmortem of the deceased’s body was conducted by the Medical Board at the Civil Hospital. After this the body has been handed over to the relatives. The matter is being investigated by the police.
