Pune ACB catches Zilla Parishad health officer red-handed while accepting ₹3 lakh

Maharashtra: The Pune unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday caught a Zilla Parishad health officer red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 3 lakh for a transfer to the health department.
The accused has been identified as Ramkishan Gangadhar Ghyar (43), a health officer at the Pune Zilla Parishad. The action was taken in front of the Zilla Parishad office in Pune.
According to the ACB, the complainant, a 41-year-old male health worker, was transferred from the Deputy Director Health Office, Kolhapur, to Pune in June 2025. However, despite the transfer order, he was not posted in Pune and was kept in the Deputy Director’s office, where there was no sanctioned post.
